The Central and Eastern European Centre (MOEZ) in Rheinland-Pfalz is a foundation of the federal state of Rheinland-Pfalz with the objective of promotion and development of foreign trade and industry. It was founded in 2006 and evolved from the Baltic Information Office that had been located at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport since 1997.
The MOEZ understands itself as a gateway to Central and Eastern Europe, making good use of the efficient transport links provided by its location at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport that is serviced by state-of-the-art transport and logistics companies.
The MOEZ`s wide range of events, information and consultancy services are mainly targeted towards small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Rheinland-Pfalz. The MOEZ also represents the federal state of Rheinland-Pfalz in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Organised as a public limited company, the MOEZ is a subsidiary of the federal state of Rheinland-Pfalz and the Investment and Economic Development Bank (ISB) Rheinland-Pfalz Ltd.
