The Central and Eastern European Centre (MOEZ) in Rheinland-Pfalz is a foundation of the federal state of Rheinland-Pfalz with the objective of promotion and development of foreign trade and industry. It was founded in 2006 and evolved from the Baltic Information Office that had been based at Frankfurt-Hahn Airport since 1997.
The MOEZ provides support to medium-sized companies from Rheinland-Pfalz on the markets of Central and Eastern Europe. The MOEZ is also a prime contact point for companies and state organisations from Central and Eastern Europe who are looking to invest in and cooperate with partners in Rheinland-Pfalz. Another mission of the MOEZ is to represent the federal state of Rheinland-Pfalz in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
The shareholders of the MOEZ are the federal state of Rheinland-Pfalz and the Investment and Economic Development Bank (ISB) Rheinland-Pfalz Ltd.
